Coal has the foundational status in the energy structure of our country, and it willbe the main energy in our country for a long time in the future. However, our countryhas the high coal mine accident rate in the would. The accident caused a huge socialproperty losses, and the miners’ life constitutes a serious threat. Therefore, the designthat using advanced communications and information processing technology to meet thedemand of the coal mine safety monitoring system has become a important aspect ofresearch on coal mine safety production technology.In order to reach the goal of promoting coal mine safety production, this paperdesigned the wireless safety monitoring and positioning system based on wirelesssensor network technology. First of all, the paper analyzes the basic principle andcharacteristics of wireless sensor network and information fusion technology andstructures a mine wireless safety monitoring and positioning system overall scheme.The system are divided into underground wireless sensor network and informationmonitoring center. On the analysis of the characteristics of the underground workingconditions and the data acquisition, the network nodes based on ZigBee had beendesigned; the hardware testbed had been built using CC2530as the core CPU and thesoftware of testbed had been programmed; a gateway between ZigBee and CAN bushad been designed for meeting the demand of communication with CAN bus. Then, inview of the mine staff positioning demand, this paper proposes a positioning algorithmbased on RSSI. The algorithm adopts the centroid calculation method to remedy thedefect of trilateration method in the coordinate calculation. The simulation shows thatthe proposed algorithm can effectively positioning in roadway. Finally, a mine safety evaluation model based on information fusion technology had been built, and thesoftware of monitoring system had been designed based on B/S structure software.
