Hot blast stoves are important components in the blast furnace ironmaking equipment. Inrecent years, the hot blast stove technology is developed, but the combustion process control forhot air stove of most of the domestic hot blast stove is manual. And the control process of hotblast stoves is influenced by a lot of external environment and artificial factors, so the means ofthe automatic control to optimize the combustion control of hot blast stoves have a realisticsignificance for the improvement of blast temperature, the improving efficiency, the energysavingandtheimproving economicefficiency.In this paper, under the research background of the hot blast stove in some steel mill, thelogic control of hot blast stove in the furnace has basically realized the automaticcontrol,however, the combustion process control of hot air stove is still manual control rely onartificial experience. The hot blast stove is a multivariable, strong timevarying, and easilyinfluenced by the external environment system, so using the manual control can not make thequality of combustion ideal. In the practical application process, the real effectiveautomatic control of burning process for hot blast stove is very rare.In view of the existing problem of the steel mill, we put forward the overall design of thecombustion control system for hot blast stove, which contains the design of the basis of the hotblast stove structure and combustion phase control structure. Basic automation controlequipment is the Siemens S7-300series PLC, and PC is WINCC workstation.Taking the PIDparameters self-tuning method to control the valve opening in the process of hot blast stoveburning, only on the basis of guarantee the underlying control effect, can we work better in theadjust and control process of hot blast stove burning gas flow and air-fuel ratio.Finally, we setup the simulation platform,and realize the PID parameters self-tuning.In addition, we analyze and deal with a large amount of data which are accumulated in thehistorical process of hot blast stove burning. Finally we obtain the gas flow setting point. Based on the data analysis,we design the decision making and combustion control strategy, and usetheCBRcontrol methodtooptimize thecombustion control processofhotblast stoves.At the same time, according to the requirements of the hot blast stove technology,we useWinCC V6.0to design the monitoring interface for the combustion control system of hot airstove. So that the system can monitor the production process, and save historical archive,diagnose abnormal situation and report to the police, guid site operation and control theproductionprocess.Finally, we expected to reach the effect that the cost gas of each furnace for the2#hot blast stove is reduced to139500m3. After the optimization, the optimized percentage is2.75%.
