Through study on chemiluminescence behavior, put forward the new methods offlow injection chemiluminescence for the determination of benzidine anddiphenylamine in water samples. The content of the dissertation can be roughly dividedinto three parts as follow.1、The character, the harm and the determination of aromatic amine are introduced. At the same time, the prospect of research of flow injection analysis technology isintroduced, the common chemiluminescence system and the application ofchemiluminescence in determination of amines also have been summarized.2、Based on the fact that benzidine could be oxidized by potassium permanganateand formaldehyde to produce chemiluminescence, and rhodamine B can remarkablyenhance the chemiluminescence signal in acidic medium, a new method of flowinjection chemiluminescence method for determination of benzidine was proposed. Theconcentration of each reaction conditions and the parameters of the experimentalapparatus in the chemiluminescence system were optimized. Linear relationshipbetween the chemiluminescence intensity and mass concentration of benzidine wasobtained in the range of1×10-5-1×10-3g/L and the detection limit (3S/N) was6.69×10-6g/L. The relative standard deviation (n=11) was1.44%for determination of5×10-5g/Lbenzidine. The proposed method has been used for testing benzidine in surface watersuccessfully, giving values recovery in the range of97.5%-104.0%.3、Based on the fact that diphenylamine could be oxidized by potassiumpermanganate and formaldehyde to produce chemiluminescence, and bromohexadecylpyridine can remarkably enhance the chemiluminescence signal in acidic medium, anew method of flow injection chemiluminescence method for determination ofdiphenylamine was proposed. Linear relationship between the chemiluminescenceintensity and mass concentration of diphenylamine was obtained in the range of5×10-6-1×10-3g/L and the detection limit (3S/N) was1.64×10-6g/L. The relative standard deviation (n=11) was1.20%for determination of1×10-4g/L diphenylamine. The proposed method has been used for testing diphenylamine in surface watersuccessfully, giving values recovery in the range of97.2%-101.2%.
