With the rapid development of computer network technology, information management system based on network services has been increasingly widely used in various industries and daily life. It is also used on the coal industry. In recent years, with the high gas coal mine constantly increasing, how to strengthen production safety and achieve rapid rescue, has been placed in front of the national authorities and leaders at all levels. So that coal mine safety system based on underground personnel positioning come into being.The primary works in this thesis are presented as follows:(1) Combined with the actual requirements of the coal mine, we proposed the working principle of the system based on wireless communications as underground communications infrastructure and analyze the logical structure of the system.(2) After a variety of wireless communication technologies are analyzed in detail by comparison with the power, speed, distance, to adapt to the harsh environment and other factors. And we ultimately determine to use RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) to achieve underground personnel positioning, use Wi-Fi (Wireless Fidelity) for underground wireless explosion-proof mobile communications.(3) The most common location technology is TDOA (Time Difference of Arrival) and RSSI (Received Signal Strength Indicator). Taking full account of the characteristics of these positioning technology, and combined with the actual situation in the coal mine, ultimately the underground personnel positioning algorithm based on two point is determined.(4) Combined with the actual situation in the coal mine, we propose an information system integration solution, Coal Mine Safety System Based on Underground Personnel Positioning. According to the integration solution, we complete the specific system deployment and project implementation, and solve the various problems on the scene.The production safety of coal mine is the eternal theme, monitoring and locating underground personnel is one of the important guarantee for the achievement of coal mine production safety. It is useful to establish the coal mine safety system based on underground personnel positioning, through the accurate, real-time, fast positioning, which can not only provide accurate location of underground personnel to carry out rescue work actively and quickly after the accident, ensure the completion of the mine rescue work, but also effectively understand the distribution of underground personnel, arrangement work and improve the management level of coal production, achieve modernization, information management.
