With the constant improvement of the national economy and the legal system concept, to theincrease of coal mine safety production supervision, production enterprise of safety production in coal mineputs forward a higher request. Across the country, however, coal mine accidents still occur. In the coal mineaccident, the relevant departments make a timely rescue. However, because of the complexity of the existmine rescue, can’t timely and accurately know the position of the trapped miners, rescue existence very bigblindness, a lot of time missed the best time to rescue.In this paper, aiming at the existing control and monitoring system for coal mine personnel to thelack of underground personnel real-time positioning, is proposed based on ZigBee technology of new typeof coal mine personnel positioning system. The system can not only realize the functions of existing coalmine monitoring system parameters (such as attendance management, environment monitoring, etc.), alsocan realize real-time positioning of mine personnel. And can be based on the system of comprehensiveinformation, providing forecasting warning function to the coal mine safety production.Based on the analysis of the existing positioning technology, on the basis of this paper discussesthe ZigBee wireless communication technology based on IEEE802.15.4standard. Then based on thesystem design requirements, formulate the implementation system. Through the chip selection, radiofrequency circuit design, antenna and Barron matching circuit design, crystals circuit, sensor circuit design,backplane network node function module design steps such as the coal mine personnel positioning systemdesign the hardware unit. Through the establishment of the ZigBee network, gateway nodes designcommunication, wireless sensor network node design, etc in the design of the ground monitoring center forthe software design of the whole system. According to the hardware and software design are given in thecoal mine personnel positioning system of the overall implementation, and system test and analysis ofactual effect. Test results show that the design of the coal mine personnel positioning system can achievethe function of mobile location node real-time positioning, positioning error is less than2m, meet thedesign requirements.The new coal mine personnel positioning system of coal mine safety production provide strongtechnical support in China at the same time, also can meet the market demand for new type coal mine monitoring and control system. Therefore, the coal mine monitoring and control system has good marketprospects.
