With the rapid development of automobile industry, the drivers put forward more requirements to controlling performance, comfort performance and safety performance of tire. In order to avoid defects of the profile shape distortion and high tire rolling resistance, tire developers at home and abroad put more energy into the research of the new type of high performance tire structure and structure optimization of tire structure. Three kinds of tire structure were put forward from three structure design aspects of profile, frame materials and shape, which were called the triangle equilibrium profile, radial-bias carcass ply and tire skeleton with wheel spoke respectively. By using ABAQUS software, comprehensive performances of three kinds of tire structure and the traditional tire which had the same corresponding specification were analyzed and compared under various complex conditions. The research meaning of which could guide the actual tire structure design and provide a directing meaning for designing and optimizing new high-performance tire. Specific works were as follows: 1. A new tire section profile which was called the triangle equilibrium profile was proposed. The comprehensive performances of the new tire profile and the traditional tire profile were analyzed and compared in the various complex conditions. Simulation results showed that under rolling condition, the triangle equilibrium profile could reduce the footprint area and improve the tire radial stiffness, and shorten the flip arm and reduce the tire deformation, which made the profile of carcass ply maintain a relatively stable isosceles triangle and increase the roundness of tire in the rolling so as to reducing the rolling resistance from the point of view of mechanics. In addition, the triangle equilibrium profile tire was not easy to skid in steady cornering condition. The steering flexibility of the triangle equilibrium profile tire was more superior in camber and corner rolling state.2. A new structure of radial-bias carcass ply was proposed. Comprehensive performances of the radial-bias tire and the radial tire which had the same specifications were analyzed and compared. Simulation results showed that the structure of radial-bias carcass ply cord could improve footprint shape and tread ground pressure distribution, controlling deformation form of the tire shoulder and increasing tire crown longitudinal deformation in the ground area, which could enhance, tire wear-resisting performance and tire grip performance.3. A new kind of tire framework structure of wheel spoke which composited a polyurethane wheel spoke with rubber tread was proposed. Comprehensive performances of the airless plastic tire with wheel spoke and the radial rubber tire which had the same specifications were analyzed and compared. Simulation results showed that the framework structure of wheel spoke could improve footprint shape and tread ground pressure distribution, reducing the burden that often worn occurred in the tire shoulder. The support plates which had already be bending deformation in the grounding area had played an important role in buffering and bearing, which showed that the framework structure of wheel spoke could improve bearing performance.
