Flat knitted fabric has the characteristic of the flexible of design, the changeable ofstructure and the abundant of product types. Flat knitted technology is an important branch ofwarp knitted technology. The appearance of different types of flat knitted fabric is distinction,there is no single way to simulate the appearance of flat knitted stitch realistically andeffectively. In order to realize the realistically simulation of the flat knitted stitch, a series ofresearch are carried out.Firstly, a careful research is developed about the character of structure of flat knitted stitch.The basic structure of flat knitted fabric is knitting stitch, tuck stitch, floating and transfer stitch.The flat knitted stitch is divided to uniform structure and non-uniform structure according tothe appearance of different structure. The structure character, species and produce method ofuniform structure and non-uniform structure is introduced respectively. The simulation methodof the flat knitted fabric is introduced finally, the pel modeling method suit to the simulation ofuniform structure and the mass-spring modeling method suit to the simulation of non-uniformstructure.Secondly, the pel modeling method based on the realistic is researched deeply. The theorymethod of pel modeling is studied first, the effects which influenced the appearance of fabric isanalyzed, the modeling method is put forward. The method of put the fabric picture to pel isexplored, the pel models of different structure are established respectively. In order to store,research and call the pel model, the pel library is established. The matching rule of differentstructure is concluded.Thirdly, the mass-spring modeling method is deep researched, the present mass-springmodel is simplified, the stitch is simplified to a particle, the influence of structure deformationof flat knitting fabric is analyzed through the mechanics method. The change of stitch elementlead to the change of the yarn tension is the principal factor of structure deformation. Later, thedisplacement of particle is analyzed by measure the structure parameter of fabric. The computeflow of particle displacement is put forward. Finally, the stitch model is established based onthe particle model, the structure realistic simulation method is realized.Finally, this study realized the appearance simulation of flat knitted fabric, thecharacteristic of system is introduced. The simulation of uniform structure is realized by themethod of pil modeling using the computer graphics. The simulation of non-uniform structureis realized by the method of the mass-spring modeling suing Open GL system function. Thecomputer simulation flow is introduced, and the simulation effect is showed out.The research in this issue provided a reference to the study of structure and simulation offlat knitted stitch based on realistic. The research result has practical application value to acertain degree.
