With the high-speed development of industrial technology, bearing,which has high speed, miniaturization of the structure, size precision, high using temperature properties and so on meets the demand of industry. Bearing should be capable of high vacuum, anti-corrosion and other harsh conditions. In order to improve the fatigue life by improving the high-speed bearing performance, ceramic bearings came into being. A new type of spindle system,which consists of ceramic spindle and ceramic bearings can replace the traditional steel electric spindle. The advantage lies in reducing the inertial force and centrifugal force that generated by the electric spindle at high rotation speed,and the electric spindle rotation accuracy, stability and reliability are improved.In this paper, the ceramic material application field is introduced.Domestic and foreign research situation of ceramic bearing are described. Ceramic bearing application and development prospect of ceramic material are introduced. Cutting and grinding processing principle of ceramic material are described. New grinding method and theory of the ceramic material are discussed.Based on the principle of molecular dynamics, nanoscale simulation model of silicon nitride ceramic material that grinded by the diamond grinding wheel abrasive is built through VC++language. The machining process and surface formation mechanism of silicon nitride ceramic material which grinded by diamond abrasive are analysed. The influence of force, kinetic energy and potential energy that generated by the abrasive grinding speed and grinding depth on silicon nitride atoms is obtained.In order to guide the production process, the ceramic ferrule processing technology is designed. The processing method of ceramic material is introduced.Ceramic ferrule grinding process is introduced carefully.Orthogonal grinding experiments of ceramic bearing rings that be the ceramic spindle key components are studied by MK2710multi-function CNC grinder. The influence of grinding parameters on ceramic ferrule inner circle roughness is obtained. The regression model of processing parameters on roughness is obtained by regression analysis.The regression model and regression coefficient are highly significant by validating. The wheel damage occurs in the process of grinding ceramic materials.In order to enhance the supporting role of the grinding fluid, measures are proposed.
