As an overall effect of the enterprise management of safety production, enterprise safety performance is globally used to estimate the safety situation through the systematic management. Many scholars and some excellent enterprise for the research of the safety performance are committed to the selection of dimensions and effective measurements in the aspect of both theory research and practice. However, due to the differences in industry background, research objects and research tools, indicators of safety performance were varied and disputed. In addition, few works have been done to verify the safety performance dimension and the relationships between these dimensions. Therefore, it is necessary to establish a set of general reliable and scientific dimensions for safety performance of enterprise. This paper uses structural equation model (SEM) to verify the safety performance dimension, and the relationships between these dimensions. According to the analysis results, problems existing in the enterprise can be diagnosed. Then, corresponding measures will be proposed to improve the safety performance of enterprises. The main research contents of this paper is as follows:(1) A set of dimension system for safety performance of enterprise was established through theoretical analysis and literature review, which includes a total of three first-order dimensions and ten second-order indicators.(2) Based on the dimension system of the safety performance and the literature review, a set of questionnaire survey regarding to safety performance was compiled. Then, according to the logical relationships between the safety performance dimensions, hypothetical models for safety performance, safety culture, and risk management were built, respectively.(3) The SPSS19.0software was utilized to analyze the collected survey data. The formal questionnaire, which contains44items, was confirmed after the distribution and analyses of the pre-test questionnaire and the modified questionnaire. Furthermore, the formal questionnaire has a reasonable reliability and stability, which has been validated by means of both the reliability analysis and the validity analysis.(4) The our built hypothesis models were fitted and validated by AMOS17.0software and "the confirmatory data" to obtain the relationship between the two dimension indicators of the safety cultural as well as the influence degree of secondary dimension of the risk management on the performance of risk management. The impacts on the safety performance of each dimension index and the relationship between each dimension index were also received through modeling validating. Analysis results show that the safety performance covers safety culture, risk management and emergency prevention management. Among ten secondary dimension index, risk identification and evaluation control have the major impact coefficient on safety performance. The impacts of supervision inspection, emergency management and accident management come after. By contrast, safety training and management system holds the minimal influence coefficients of safety performance.
