Using hydraulic system can make the speed regulation stepless, the structure more compact and the transmission simpler. So it is more and more favored by domestic and foreign rotary drill producers. Foreign producers have already developed large and medium all-hydraulic rotary drills and this kind of drlls have been widely used in domestic and foreign mines. Yet in china, there is still no all-hydraulic rotary drill, hydraulic transmission is only used in auxiliary system and a few model dirlls’ rotary system. And the hydraulic system mostly uses traditional throttling and overflows speed adjustment methods. These methods have low efficiency, narrow range of speed, high heat productivity and poor precision.According to the operation condition, this paper designs the hydraulic system of rotary, feed, and propels function of all-hydraulic rotary dirll. By using volume velocity governing, it can expond speed range and at the sime time reduce the energy loss, realize the energy saving and emission reduction. Adopting electrohydraulic proportional technology can easily realize the computer control, and this is the foundation of automatic drilling.The mathematical models are fouded according to the action principle and the interaction of the hydraulic components and the load conditions of the actuating mechanism. By using simulation software Matlab/simulink and AMEsim respectively based on the mathematical models and the physical models of the hydraulic system, the dynamic properties of the control system and the affect of different parameters are stuied. The results show the the control system need to be improved by reasonable control algorithm in order to obtain better control performance.According to defect of the control system and the nonlinearity of controlled object, use fuzzy-PID algorithm to impove the control system. The simulation results of the improved control system by Matlab/simulink show that the control performances of the control system have been ameliorated observably.
