With the high-speed development of electronic industry and precision machinery, miniature components have a large number of applications in the domains of electronic information product, automobile, biological medical device, aerospace and so on. Micro-blanking, as one kind of forming process, can be used to fabricate submillimeter micro-parts. With the advantage of high efficiency, low cost and good machining quality, micro-blanking is an important means of miniature components’batch manufacture.At present, research on abnormity parts and hole is not enough. The automation degree of micro-blanking machine tool is low. For these problems, this paper set one kind of abnormity blanking part as the workpiece. Based on the analyzes of micro-blanking mechanism and experiment, this paper designed one kind of micro-blanking machine tool for abnormity parts.Based on the analysis of blanking mechanism in traditional size and the theory of size effect, the unidirectional micro tension test which used SUS304pieces with different thickness was done. The influence of size effect on the material mechanical properties had been studied. The result showed that, with the decrease of character size, the tensile strength and the elongation were changed significantly because of the size effect.Based on the analysis of micro-blanking mechanism, the calculation of the micro-blanking process was done. The structure of micro-blanking mold appropriated for online machining was designed, and the size of punch and die was calculated. Through the verification of key process parameters, the result showed that the mold for the machine could satisfy the main technical requirements.Using mold fabricated by online machining, this paper designed the main structure of the machine tool. The fixing error was avoided, and the manufacture error was decreased. By this method, the accuracy of relative position between punch and die was improved to1μm. The improvement of blanking clearance had a positive effect on the processing quality. The key parts of the machine tool had been analyzed by FEA (Finite Element Analysis) and modal analysis, which verified that the key parts satisfied the requirement of the design.The feeding, pick-up devices used in traditional blanking machine are not suited to micro-blanking machine. For this problem, this paper designed the feeding and pick-up system which were suited to micro-blanking. The automation of feeding and pick-up in this machine tool can be realized. The efficiency and security are improved, which has positive significance to the micro-blanking industrialization.
