| This paper made a study on the strength performance and application of six-layer corrugated board which has the special double corrugated core structure. At the beginning, this paper analyses the structure and production process of corrugated board, then contrasts and analyze the strength data of marginal pressure strength, burst strength, puncture strength etc. which tested in experiment among the five-layer board, six-layer board and seven-layer board with the same quantity. Finally this article arrived at the conclusion that the effect on the strength properties of the special double-corrugated structure of the six-layer-board, and the advantage of this new type corrugated cardboard. Concluded that the thickness of six-layer (180)board is0.02mm higher than the five-layer board, the five-layer board’s thickness is0.03mm lower than the six-layer (110)board, thickness of six-layer (180)board is6.9mm which is3.16mm lower than the seven-layer board. In terms of marginal pressure strength, six-layer (180)board is9.2%higher than seven-layer board, and five-layer board is six-layer (110)board41.4%, and six-layer (110)board is4.5%lower than six-layer (180)board. To pop strength, six-layer (110)board is9.6%higher than five-layer board,and seven-layer board is2.8%lower than seven-layer board, six-layer (110)board is six-layer (110)board95%. For puncturing resistance, six-layer (180)board is2.12times that of seven-layer board, six-layer (110)board is1.56times that of five-layer board, six-layer (180)board is53%higher than that of six-layer (110)board. Based on the testing data, six-layer corrugated board can be used in the heavy packaging area, and this paper designs a whole paper structure packaging for an outside hang air-conditioning to replace the original paper-wood-plastic hybrid packaging. This design includes the structure and strength of paper bead (corrugated board bead), cardboard tray, cushioning pad made by six-layer board which can be more eco-friendly than EPS and corrugated carton.Then defined the carton outer size as L0=1448mm, Bo=562mm, Ho=523mm, compressive strength is6521.2N; size of paperboard tray:1440×536×14.2mm,block size:160×107×90mm.This paper has a simulation test on the new packaging structure by MECHANICA module in machinery software Pro/ENGNEER. Test results show that the compressive strength of every part of this packaging design respectively is:article support2350N, paper bead made of six-layer board1867N, six-layer board tray15180N, the corrugated carton3950N, bottom cushion pad5600N. All the above data can achieves the requirements of the mechanical properties of products. At the end of this paper, the reliability of the two schemes are further discussed and analyzed, and calculated the relationship between the transit time and the reliability.This thesis has obtained some research results and conclusions of the study on performance and application of the six-layer corrugated board. The packaging structure design and application research has practical guiding significance on promoting the application of this new type corrugated board. |
