According to the structure optimization, the dynamic and static characteristics of thecolumn and the bed are analyzed and studied in the optimization design. The main researchwork includes:(1)The development situation of machine tools, the finite element theory and theoptimization principle are introduced.(2)The whole machine CAD model of one CNC bevel gear machine is built, then calculatethe stress of the main parts based on the actual processing. The dynamic and staticcharacteristics of the column and the bed are calculated.(3)With the method of variation analysis, the structure form and structure dimension ofthe unit structure and frame size are studied. The relationship with the sand hole number,shape, size, length of the lattices, thickness and length ratio with its fundamental frequency isstudied. The relationship between the column bed basic frame structure and the low ordernatural frequency are also studied. From these, the rules of the relationship between frame sizeand low order natural frequency is easily seen. The thought of the unit structure is used in thedesign of the column bed optimization.(4)The parametric model of the column is built based on the parametric modeling ideas.(5)ANSYS Workbench is imported based on the parametric CAD model set up before tobecome the parametric CAE model. The thickness of reinforcing plate was choosing to be thedesign variable, the parameter of the design variables will be studied twice, then overallconsidering the result of the optimization in the end. Taking the lightest weight and themaximum deflection of the column as the optimization goal, the thickness of every reinforcingplate as the optimization variable, the first inherent frequency as the constraint condition, thenmulti-objective optimize it,get the pareto optimal solution set, thus the optimized model canbe calculated. It turns out that the optimized results are reliable and efficient.
