With the expansion of High-density polyethylene (HDPE) consumed in more application areas, more occasions, such as HDPE gas pipelines, HDPE battery isolation membranes, HDPE wire and cable materials, etc., HDPE materials are on a higher temperature requirements. Existing HDPE pipe can not satisfy the requirements for thermal stability, the development of heat-resistant HDPE pipes, has become the most pressing matter of the moment.In this paper, nylon6(PA6), sepiolite (SEP) and Talcum (Talc) were used to improve the heat-resistant of HDPE independently by the twin screw extruder. The micro morphology (observed by Scanning electron microscopy), mechanical perfomence, DSC, XRD, vicat softening point, heat deflection temperature, and thermal weight loss of the blends were studied.1, Both of HDPE-g-MAH and POE-g-MAH could improve the compatibility of HDPE/PA6blend. Considered the comprehensive performance, HDPE-g-MAH performed better. With15phr content of the compatilizer, the vicat softening point (VST) and heat deflection temperature (HDT) of blend HDPE/PA6/POE-g-MAH (100/30/15) were increased by 1.6℃and14.3℃respectively than that of pure HDPE, the VST and HDT of blend HDPE/PA6/HDPE-g-MAH (100/30/15) were increased by3.1℃and16.3℃respectively than that of pure HDPE.2, By using HDPE-g-MAH as a compatilizer, with10phr SEP(unactivated), compared to the pure HDPE, the VST and HDT of HDPE/SEP (unactivated) were increased by1℃and9.4℃, the tensile strength of the blend increased by6.6%.3, With the increase of SEP content, compared with HDPE/SEP (unactivated), the heat reisitanst, impact strength and elongation at break of the HDPE/SEP (activated) blends were improved, while tensile sthength decreased slightly. The VST and HDT of HDPE/SEP (activated) were increased by1℃and12.3℃than pure HDPE, with10phr SEP (activated).4, With7phr Talc added, the VST and HDT of HDPE were increased by1℃and14.3℃than pure HDPE. After adding HDPE-g-MAH as compatilizer, the VST and HDT of blend HDPE/Talc (100/7) were increased by0.7℃and13.8℃, tensile sthength increased by3.1%.
