As the world’s second herbicide product, Paraquat has been generally accepted by public. The rapid killing character makes paraquat become the one of the most popular herbicide products in the world right now. To meet the rule of new environment protection and the requirement of the industrial energy saving, It is crucial for paraquat producers to improve the industrial production process. An new method, the synthetic technology, become the alternative to solve the problems entwined with paraquat in the long time.The author through a lot of production practice and summarizes the control, the synthesis process of paraquat were optimized:1.Improve the respond speed of the chloromethyl pyridine, reduce energy consumption;2. two poly solvent treatment process improvement, the average yield was increased to92.9%, and the process of waste water is reduced by1/3;3.improve the chlorine oxidation chlorination speed, avoid the exhaust emissions, improve equipment utilization;4. the realization of wastewater resource utilization, achieve zero discharge wastewater, waste gas.Because of excess domestic production capacity, paraquat market competition will be more intense, improvement and utilization of wastewater resource synthesis technology will greatly enhance the competitiveness of enterprises.
