As the most common way of oil transportation, pipeline transportation has been playing a very important role in national economy. The leakage of the oil transmission pipeline would not only cause great economical loss, but also greatly damage the living environment of human beings and even threaten our lives. Find out the leakage of the oil transmission pipeline in time and find out where exactly the leakage is, are of great significance to reducing the economical loss and maintaining the safety of oil transmission pipeline.Pipeline leakage inspection technology is a comprehensive study content which is interdisciplinary, multi-disciplinary and multi-technological, involving pipeline fluid mechanics, sensor technology, data acquisition, signal processing and many other aspects.This study combines the actual situation of oil transmission transportation in our country with the research situation of oil transmission pipeline leakage inspection technology in China and abroad, engages in a deep research of oil transmission pipeline leakage inspection and positioning techonology. According to the three parameters of temperature, pressure and flux, this study adopts the inspection method of joint discriminant, which takes the priority of negative pressure wave, and flow balance method the complimentary. Moreover, the two methods of negative pressure wave pressure signal singularity point positioning method and Runge-kutta algorithm positioning method are used to realize the high precision positioning of the leakage position. Modify the traditional method of negative pressure wave velocity caused by oil transmission pipeline leakage so that it can be in accordance to the change of elements like temperature, density and material of the pipeline of the fluid. Take the actual complication of the pipeline into consideration and increase the calculation of the equivalent length of pipe bending.Furthermore, the wavelet analysis theory is used in this study. The improved threshold function method is adopted to process the noise of pressure signal and flow signal, then analyze the processed flow signal and work out the leakage rate of the oil transmission pipeline. After that, two positioning methods are used respectively and use the MATLAB software to process and work out the exact position of where the leakage is. In order to prove the efficiency of the methods put forward in this study, a pipeline leakage experiment is conducted in the laboratory and collected the pressure and flow data in the experiment. Moreover, according to the theoretical method put forward in this study, the data processing has been conducted and the experiment result has been analyzed.
