With the use of domestic oil pipelines for a long time and the erosion and corrosion of the pipeline by the surrounding environment,the pipes are aging and defective,which causes the leakage under the action of sudden natural disasters or man-made damage.As a result,the surrounding environment is polluted and even endangers the lives of the people,causing extremely bad social impacts.The research of pipeline leakage monitoring system involves many fields,such as data communication technology,signal processing technology,positioning analysis algorithm,computer programming technology,etc.In this paper,some key areas of pipeline leakage monitoring and location systems are investigated as follows:(1)Combining the current pipeline leakage monitoring and positioning methods,in view of the high false alarm rate and poor positioning accuracy of the existing methods,this paper proposes a leakage monitoring method based on the combination of the flow balance method and the negative pressure wave positioning method.The fiber Bragg grating sensor array and electromagnetic flowmeter are installed along the pipeline direction to collect the state parameters of the flow and pressure in the pipeline.When a leak occurs,threshold detection and linear fitting are used to identify the leak time,and the leak location is performed based on the time difference of the sensor capturing the negative pressure wave.(2)A pipeline leakage monitoring system was developed using virtual instrument technology based on the mixed programming of Lab VIEW platform and MATLAB,which realized the functions of signal acquisition,leakage warning,signal processing,leakage location and so on.(3)The leakage monitoring system was applied to a 100-meter-class pipeline leakage simulation test platform.For the leakage warning function,the test results confirmed that the system can accurately identify leaks,effectively reducing the occurrence of false alarms and false alarms.For the leak location test,a calculation method for averaging multiple sets of sublocations was proposed.Repeated leak tests at different locations and different flow rates verified the positioning stability and accuracy of the method.
