Stampings are common in the daily life and stamping process occupies aconsiderable proportion in practical production. With the increase of requirement, thedevelopment of the production level and the new products which require much higherprecision, better quality, more superior performance of blanking pieces, thetechnology of fine blanking process emerged at the historic moment. The fineblanking parts relative to the average blanking pieces, they have a lot of the lattercan’t achieve the level, but their machine cost is quite high, they need modificationfor the common machine or equipped with a dedicated3action press, thus promote itstill facing some inevitable problems.This article focus on fine-blanking with negative clearance, it can combine avariety of blanking die and install it to the common machines, then they can achievethe effect of fine blanking. It already save the production cost, labor, and increase theefficiency of production. It can maximize returns for the society and somecorporations, so it’s worth popularizing in the industry.This topic is based on a variety of material (AISI-1045steel and Q235steel,20Mn steel and copper) experiments respectively in the different parameters (clearance,reserved quantity and the thickness of the workpieces) under fine-blanking withnegative clearance and common blanking, collected the blanking force curve of eachexperiment, and study different experimental conditions affect to the blanking die andworkpiece. Using the Deform software, which is the finite element simulationsoftware simulate each cutting process in different experiments. Observe of the crosssection of blanking pieces by the photos and electron microscope photos after theexperiments, and study the experiment materials in different region within themicrostructure morphology changes. Then study the microstructure and grain size relative to the initial change from the micro perspective. Using MH-6vickershardness tester to study the degree of strain hardening for blanking pieces after theexperiment, the fracture to measure the horizontal and vertical direction of thesurrounding area, summing up the rule of strain hardening in the form of graphs.This topic studies fine-blanking with negative clearance from the basictheoretical analysis, experiment and simulation, put forward a more reasonableparameter selection, it has the important significance to improve the technologicallevel of blanking and the quality of workpiece.
