As an important tool of molten steel transporting, the ladle has the function ofstorage and transport of molten iron. During the working process, ladle is not onlyload by their own and molten steel gravity, but also needed to bear the molten steeltemperature load produced by the effect of thermal expansion. Under the workenvironment of high temperature and load, the ladle is prone to be breakage whichbrings great loss and risk. Considering the working conditions of both hightemperature and high load has an important practical significance to the strengthdesign of ladle.The130T ladle of some iron and steel enterprise is selected as the object of study, based on the actual arrangement of ladle lining and the really working condition, through the establishment of two-dimensional axisymmetric model of ladle, thesteady temperature field is analyzed, and discussing the influence of contact heattransfer coefficient on the temperature distribution of ladle. Using a two-dimensionalaxisymmetric model based on temperature field and the contact element to solve thethermal expansion pressure that the ladle lining acts on the ladle shell. According tothe actual size of ladle shell, the model of ladle shell which is established bySolidworks software is imported into the ANSYS software, the extraction temperatureload coming from the temperature field analysis and the thermal expansion pressuresubjected to the shell is acted on3D model, and introducing auxiliary blocks in the earshaft where establishing the contact part to reflect the freely thermal expansion ofladle shell, thermal coupled stress field of the ladle shell is simulated and analyzed. The influences of different thermal expansion pressures and temperature loads on thestress field of ladle shell, the influences of various contact heat transfer coefficients onthe temperature field of ladle and the influences of ladle lining arrangement on thethermal expansion pressure subjected by ladle shell are discussed. The innovation of this research is that: using ANSYS software to discuss theinfluence of contact heat transfer coefficient on the contact parts between lining andshell on the temperature field of ladle shell; using the two-dimensional axisymmetricmode to build the contact pairs between each layers and extracting of the thermalexpansion pressure that ladle lining acts on the ladle shell; At the same time, byintroducing an auxiliary block in ear axis, it will reflect the actual free thermalexpansion of the ladle shell. The results of this study will provide theoretical basis forthe study of maintenance, long life of ladle strength design and daily operation.
