Miniaturization or micromation of the products is the main trend in today’s product development, and the most basic to realize product miniaturization is the micro machining technology, it is receiving more and more attention. Micro machining is a machining method of micro parts and equipment, whose size is from a few microns to several millimeters, it is a useful method of manufacturing the micro mechanical parts and components, and is an important bridge connecting the macro and micro even nano scale. Among them, micro-scale grinding compared with micro turning and milling can obtain better surface quality, therefore study of micro grinding technology at home and abroad in recent years is more and more. And metal material processing occupies an important position in the field of machinery manufacturing, so the research on micro-grinding process of metal materials has important practical significance.This thesis carried out a series of experiment and simulation research on micro-grinding with45steel,6061aluminum alloy steel, H62brass and TC4titanium alloy four kinds of typical metal materials, analyzed influence factors and rules of the plastic material’s surface quality in micro-grinding, mainly by the indexs including surface roughness and grinding force, the main content has the following several aspects:(1) Described the micro-grinding’s present situation and development at home and abroad, the concept and characteristics of micro-grinding, combining properties and practical application situation of several kinds of metal materials, proposed the main content and research purpose of this subject.(2) To establish a theoretical analysis model of micro-grinding, discussed the geometry of micro-grinding’s surface formation mechanism, introduced the grinding characteristics of electroplating CBN grinding rods, experiment materials’ composition and mechanical properties, and some content related with micro grinding’s surface roughness.(3)This paper introduced the experimental equipment, designed multiple sets of orthogonal experiments, studying how the grinding process parameters, the types of micro abrasive, grinding way, cooling condition and material properties influence the surface quality of micro-grinding and the rules. The design of single factor experiment is to measure the force in micro-grinding, which is aimed at researching the influence of grinding process parameters on different metal material’s micro grinding force.(4)Carried on the summary and analysis the result of the experiment, getting the variation trends of surface roughness and the significant degree of the influence with different factors are got, combined with the surface microstructure diagram of the processed parts, obtained relatively optimal combination of micro-grinding conditions.(5) The paper finished the simulation of grinding force and surface roughness in micro-grinding using ABAQUS and MATLAB software respectively, which is mainly aimed at studying effects of grinding parameters on grinding force and surface roughness. Then compared and analyzed simulation and experimental results, which got a good mutual verification.(6)Summarized the main conclusions of the work, put forward some suggestions for the subsequent research on related subjects.
