PLC, called programmable logic controller, has an extremely wide-ranging and important role in A wide variety of industrial production. With the level of automation and integration increased, the technology of PLC was gradually improved. With the PLC improved, the control system of DCS has been used. There are lots of predominant performance and features about PLC. It has Strong anti-jamming capability and high reliability and so on.PLC is always used to control digital signals and analog signals. In the industry, it controls indirectly temperature, flow, level and pressure by controlling valve and engine.In this thesis, as an example of the typical crafts of mineral separation, I finished the steps and processes of PLC control about typical crafts of mineral separation.The Candle filter’s control step by step is original creation in industrial.Before I complete this project, I introduce the relevant theoretical knowledge, like standard signals, wires, meters, thermocouples and thermal resistances, sensors and transmitters, digital to analog converter and PID control and so on. Then I introduce the process of amino acid production. And then I do the work about the demand analysis according to production process, calculate the control points and assign addresses. Then I do the hardware configuration. After doing the hardware configuration, I write the programming of this project. At last, I draw the PC screen including the basic information about iFIX, the attention before using about iFIX, system configuration, I/O drive, writing program database file and picture production.After completing this project, I should have deep and strong comprehension about the PLC principles. Also I should learn the hardware configuration and programming of this project. That I should learn how to control other industrial process by comprehending and analyzing the typical crafts of mineral separation is the eventual level.
