Coal preparation mathematical model could describe the essence of the coal preparation process, identify the factors of affecting production and correlation, and optimize production in the production practice. And a mathematical model has the advantages of high efficient and low costs. It could also shorten the design period combined with computer. Flotation mathematical model was quite important in the field of coal preparation. Further improvement of the benefits of coal factory mainly came from part of the coal flotation recoveries. This paper focuses on a mine in Huainan coal samples,-0.5mm size fractions were obtained by sieving and broking. We use this as floating material in the tested. In the laboratory we grading the slime according the density, particle size, and floating the sample of each grade, we can obtain the production rate in the time interval At yields by scraping bubble, then use graphical method, optimization method, using a logarithmic make data relationship linearization. At the same time we use linear regression in excel, making the operation more accurate, efficient,we obtained flotation rate constant k values at different situations of maximum recovery and to explore how to obtain the most close to reality flotation rate constant value. Obtain the K value about the density and particle size distribution function of the type, enrich the related knowledge of slime flotation mathematic model.We use the k values in the simulation of flotation, simulating mechanical flotation machine-4cell, to achieve the forecast of clean coal and tailing production and ash and flotation time on excel, reflects the important guiding role of solving k value on prediction of flotation products and the optimization of the flotation process on coal preparation plant.
