Since reform and opening up, China’s actual use of foreign capital continues to grow, foreign capital promotes the development of China’s economy. With the prominentenvironmental problems, our country is becoming more and more emphasis on coordinationof sustainable development strategy. The deterioration of the atmospheric environment inrecent years, has caused the attention of the state council, in September2014formallyapproved the "national plan on climate change (2014-2020)", the specified target is for thebase period2005to2020, carbon dioxide emissions per unit of gross domestic product fell by40%to45%, in primary energy consumption, non-fossil energy consumption accounted forabout15%.APEC meeting in November2014, China has made a commitment to its owngreenhouse gas emissions about peaked in2030, and strive for the earlier than the time to doit, by2030, China’s clean energy proportion will reach20%.Investor in a complicatedrelationship with the host country and related technology spillover effect, demonstration effectwill be to a certain extent, atmospheric environmental impact of the host country. Therefore,in order to comprehensive analysis of foreign direct investment and the host country of thepros and cons of relationship between atmospheric environment, based on the effect offoreign direct investment environment theory, this article from the foreign direct investmentscale, structure, technology and environment control four aspects, and the atmosphericpollution of sulfur dioxide, carbon dioxide, industrial soot and dust emissions of four index isanalyzed, and the division of key areas, respectively, to study the effect of foreign directinvestment in different areas. The main idea of this article is: based on the existing theories about the environmentaleffect of foreign direct investment after sorting and analyzing, using relevant data and thecorresponding measurement method, it is concluded that foreign direct investment of ourcountry from four aspects of the atmospheric environment in the specific environmentpollution indicators emissions. Firstly, combining with the actual situation of our countrypointed out in this paper, the research background, significance and existing in foreign directinvestment in the field of the environmental impact of the research results of scholars at home and abroad, and then put forward the research emphasis of this paper, the structure as well asdifficulties and innovations. Secondly, about the relevant theories in the field of "pollutionhaven" and "pollution halo" hypothesis, the environmental Kuznets curves (EKC) andenvironmental effect theory. Again, from quantity scale, the industry structure and industrydistribution three aspects analysis of the characteristics of foreign direct investment in China,to China’s overall and regional atmospheric environmental pollution present situation and thefour major industrial air pollutants in China industrial sulfur dioxide, carbon dioxide, researchand analysis on the industrial smoke powder and dust is calculated. Fourthly, according to theformer three parts in this paper, the theory and the related data collected by support, establishing econometric model, using the simultaneous equations, from economies of scale, structure, technology and environmental controls these four aspects, through calculation andanalysis of foreign direct investment to reflect the influence of atmospheric quality of theselected indicators. Finally, on the basis of panel data analysis was studied for the atmosphericpollution in key areas, respectively, it is concluded that foreign direct investment to theinfluence of different parts of the atmospheric environment. Then come to the conclusion, andhow to create a better investment environment to attract more foreign investment in thecountermeasures and Suggestions, and continuously promote the healthy development of ourcountry’s economy.
