This paper first analyzes the running environment of oil pipeline and oil leakage maycause the potential harm.Along with the pipeline expansion and the development of the oil andgas, the old and the new pipeline coexist. Because of the natural corrosion, accidental damage,operational errors, stealing oil and other reasons, the pipeline operation environment is verycomplex, pipeline leakage accidents occur from time to time, direct and indirect loss and theresulting growing.In this case, it needs a set of alarm system of leakage and accurate positioning. In thispaper, regarding this as the core, the negative pressure wave method as the theoretical basis,combined with data collection, communication system and signal processing, throughmathematical modeling, a series of analysis, programming, calculation, analysis and otheroperations, design a set of prevention and leak detection and location system, and the actualoperation of this system is applied to the Wu Yin line among the.Engineering practice proved that, this system can be more accurate to start and stop thepump and pipeline leakage respond and positioning, positioning accuracy is about150m.At the same time, with the help of analysis and the system for different pipe flow withdiscontent, dissatisfaction with the current situation, put forward some requirements foroperation and management of oil pipeline.
