The leakage is one of the main failure forms of underground power supply system. It can bring great dangers, lead to personal electric shock, form a single phase ground fault, develop into short circuit between phases, then produce electric spark which can cause gas and dust explosion accidents. Due to the poor mine environment, the leakage signal is not easy to detect, quick acting and selectivity. As the current application method has its own limitations, so the underground leakage recognition problems haven’t been solved well.Paper first analysis several commonly used leakage protection methods of steady-state condition, introduce their applicable scope and advantages and disadvantages. Then analysis the practical significance based on the transient process for leakage protection, establish the mine grid equivalent circuit model based on simulation, conclude that single phase leakage occurred when the mathematical expression of each feature by using the method of instantaneous symmetrical component transformation, and then analyze the main factors influencing the leakage process. Papers analysis different characteristics influence on the mine electric transient leakage protection. And then analyze the influence for the system leakage failure quantity through the experimental simulation waveform. Comparing transient distance degree method with absolute correlation degree method, and then anglicizes the advantages and disadvantages. Simulating different leakage selection method based on software MATLAB, careful analysis the different simulation waveforms and data, and compare the different methods of leakage effect. The final paper simulated the660V/1140v mine grid, built the MATLAB simulation model on computer, comparative analysis the transient conditions and steady state conditions to compare the advantages of both. The experimental results show that the system can realize the leakage branch effective, higher reliability and sensitivity than the steady state condition.
