As an important part of coal mining,mine hoist is the key channel ofpersonnel and material exchange of inside and outside,undertakes thetransportation task.The poor environment not only leads to failures on itsworking parts and interruption during work,but also will causes a majoraccident and threats to the safety production of coal mine seriously.So it’s veryimportant to improve condition monitoring and find the potential failure. Thedevelopment of hoist operation condition monitoring is comparatively slow, theimprovement of practical monitoring results in the hoist fault occurrence thatcannot to match with the important position of hoist in the coal mine productionsafety. There is a large deep space to improve the monitoring of the lift operationconditions.This paper based on analysis of hoist basic structure to analyze the hoistworking process and the specific requirements of the safe operation, workingprinciple and operation failure.The relationship among common faults,whichcan fully perform the running status.This paper shows that the conventionalmonitoring system facing many problems include lower stability of datatransmission and regional limitations, expounds the significance of theoreticalresearch and practical application of GPRS wireless transmission technologyand Web-based remote monitoring technology is also summarized in this paper,the hoist remote monitoring system model of "Terminal acquisition+wirelesstransmission+Web publishing" has been put forward. Software and hardware of monitoring system have been designed in thispaper based on the C8051F MCU and GPRS wireless communicationtechnology, key work institutions are extracted such as electricity, pressure,temperature and so on.The part of hardware including equipments selection,platform structures,and the part of software including GPRS data receiving,Web development of the remote monitoring platform and the databasedesign.Integrating laboratory existing resources to build hoist monitoringplatform,collected real-time data are packaged and sent to the network throughGPRS module,received and deposited by developed software to the networkcenter server, published by Web page.Remote monitoring platform’s functionscontains hoist key operation information data receiving, processing anddisplaying.With the combination of the remote monitoring technology and moderncommunication technology,the hoist key operation information remotemonitoring system based on MCU and GPRS is built, system experiment testhave been made to show that the system can realize the required function andstable and reliable running,which has reached the preset objectives and has wideprospects and important practical significance to different entities applicationfields.
