For sending some materials (or personnel) from a mine entrance to the inner of the mine , or hoisting them from a mine to the ground, the existing transport vehicle can only be a mine hoist. In the process of lifting materials, its security, particularly the personnel life security, must be given to top priority. However, during the course of lifting materials, when the equipment meets with one or more problems, it can not immediately stop to process these troubles and eliminate them, which not only affects the normal use of the machines and other equipments, and even leads to their damage and subsequently increases their maintenance costs, but also has a direct bad effect on the safety of the production and staff life. Therefore, the remote monitoring for braking system of a mine hoist has such a particularly significant practical value and significance in such aspects as real-time process monitoring of its work, diagnosis, maintenance, safety (including personnel safety) and so on.For on-line monitoring and fault analysis of the current braking system of a mine hoist, there are some visible and invisible defects on software development and applications. Under the guidance of my tutors, with business people and scientific researchers, by the use of Frontpage2003, VB, KingView, Access and other softwares in 2JTP-1.2-type hoist test stand, a remote monitoring and diagnostic system (based on expert system) of mine hoist braking system was developed. The system can execute real-time monitoring to braking system of a mine hoist when running, judge its operation situation, and correctly simulate its failure occurrence components (or position). According to performance data of a mine hoist, the database and system software was developed. The database is able to implement real-time monitoring and alarm, and can timely remind on-site staff and network expert system of tracking & identifying the operation of the equipment, and can report relevant data with the help of the expert system etc., By this, the safety working hours of mine hoists is increased, and relative economic benefits is further expanded and social benefits is enhanced.
