Research On GPRS-based Remote Safety Monitoring System

The remote monitoring system is based on GPRS communications technology. It achieved a production of the oilfield remote monitoring, and management information. It will promote the wireless monitoring system. In this paper, a remote monitoring system is designed based on an acidic gas field. This system contains three parts: data collection modules, remote transmission of data modules, the monitoring center modules. The data collection modules use wireless sensor network collection data; the remote transmission of data modules for data transmission using GPRS modules, which complete the data communications between the scene and monitoring center; the monitoring center module for data processing and analysis, which can link up with the received data storage, display and analysis. It uses SMS as a communication support. And it uses an authority management to ensure the security of the entire system. This paper also programmed the remote transmission of data, tested the short message communication by using Wavecom module, and programmed software system for monitoring center. This system can meet the requirement of the acidic gas field with some reference value.
