Based on the ABAQUS software, the finite element temperature analysis of the 11.00R20 radial truck tires is accomplished by three parts: structural analysis, dissipation energy analysis and heat transfer analysis. In this paper, the temperature FEA model of tire is improved, the boundary conditions is developed, the tire temperature is forecasted. This provides the enterprise one feasible way to complete temperature analysis and lead the design of the tires. In the structure analysis, the hyperelastic material model, the improved geometric model and boundary conditions are used to complete the steady state rolling analysis of the tire. Via the equivalent viscous dissipation coefficients and the compiled FORTAN program which analyze the strain and stress cycles by means of the Fourier decomposition, and the dissipation energy is got. In heat transfer analysis, UEXTERNALDB is used to get the result from the dissipation energy analysis, and HETVAL user subroutine is used to define it as heat resource of the tire heat transfer model. The tire convective heat transfer coefficients are determined according to relative documents. In the end, the steady state rolling temperature analysis is completed, the temperature distribution is obtained. The analysis results are consistent with the test data.According to the FEA method studied in this paper, the basic characters and the influences by relative parameters of the tire temperature are discussed. When one of the factors increases and the others remain, the tire temperature raises.
