Tire is an important part of automobile. The mechanical property of tire has an important influence upon readability, energy loss and oil consumption of automobile, especially operational stability and security. But the structures and mechanical property of tire are very complicated. The research work of the dissertation analyzed tire mechanical property chiefly.Finite element method was used to analyze the mechanical property of all-steel radial tire in this dissertation. The tire model of 2-d was established with the software ANSYS according to real structure of tire. The rubber material of the tire was regard as isotropic and cord-rubber composite as anisotropic material. Linear elastic model and hyper elastic Neo-Hookean model was used to analyze the tire, the vary regularity of external conjugate diameter, section width and the distribution of stress and strain on the steel cords were compared. And the affection of the two models were studied. The calculation was divided into two processes under applied load, air inflation was the first process and applied load was the second process. Hyper elastic Neo-Hookean model was used to analyze tire under applied load, the distribution of shear stress and shear strain was researched, the maximum strain strength theory, the Tsai-Wu theory strength and the maximum stress strength theory were adopted to check result, and research tire strength analysis chiefly. The dissertation used finite element method to investigate the mechanical property of the tire. It can lay a foundation for further analysis and design optimization for radial tire.
