Flexible ligands have received special attention,not only because of their easy synthesis and easy change in the spatial conformation and coordination mode,but also because of their easy self-assembly into novel structural and functional coordination polymers.Salicylamide,quinoline derivatives and 1,3,4-thiadiazole compounds have biological activity such as bactericidal and antibacterial activity,and can be widely used in industry,agriculture,medicine and other fields.In addition,these three compounds,mostly having more than one coordination atoms,can coordinate easily with metal ions to form the stable and novel structural and functional coordination polymers.It is of significance to the development of coordination chemistry,clinical medicine and other sciences.22 new flexible compounds,1,2-ethylenedi(N-benzylsalicylamide)(L1), 1,3-propylenedi(N-benzylsalicylamide)(L2),1,4-butylenedi(N-benzylsalicylamide)(L3), 3-oxa-1,5-pentylenedi(N-benzylsalicylamide)(L4),3,6-dioxa-1,8-octylenedi(N-benzylsalicylamide) (L5),3,6,9-trioxa-1,11-undecylenedi(N-benzylsalicylamide)(L6),1,4-butylenedi(N-pyridin-2-ylmethylsalicylamide)(L7),N,N′-di(quinolin-8-yl)adipamide(L8), N,N′-di(quinolin-8-yl)-4-thiaheptanediamide(L9),2,5-di(2-methylphenylcarbamoylmethylthio) -1,3,4-thiadiazole(L10),2,5-di(4-methylphenylcarbamoylmethylthio)-1,3,4-thiadiazole(L11),2,5-di(2-methoxyphenylcarbamoylmethylthio)-1,3,4-thiadiazole (L12),2,5-di(3-methoxyphenylcarbamoylmethylthio)-1,3,4-thiadiazole(L13),2,5-di-(4-methoxyphenylcarbamoylmethylthio)-1,3,4-thiadiazole(L14),2,5-di(2-ethoxyphenylcarbamoylmethylthio) -1,3,4-thiadiazole(L15),2,5-di(cyclohexanylcarbamoylmethylthio)-1,3,4-thiadiazole(L16),2,5-di(4-chloro-2-nitrophenylcarbamoylmethylthio)-1,3,4-thiadiazole(L17),2,5-di(pyridin-2-carbamoylmethylthio)-1,3,4-thiadiazole(L18), 2,5-di(benzylcarbamoylmethylthio)-1,3,4-thiadiazole(L19),2,5-di(pyridinium-2-ylcarb- amoylmethylthio)-1,3,4-thiadiazole(L20),2,5-di(naphthalen-1-ylcarbamoylmethylthio)-1,3,4-thiadiazole(L21),2,5-di(quinolin-8-ylcarbamoylmethylthio)-1,3,4-thiadiazole(L22), were synthesized and characterized by EA,IR,1H and 13C NMR.5 single crystals including a complex of L7 with yttrium picrate were obtained and their structurs were determined by X-ray single crystal diffraction analysis.
