Numerical control tool holder, which signifies the technical level of numerical control lathe and has closely relation to machining accuracy and production efficiency,is an important functional unit of numerical control lathe. Once rotated a work station, the ideal tool holder should coincide with the position of last work station. Due to the manufacturing error, it is impossible to coincide wholly and exactly, which has greatly affeceted machining accuracy. The performace of numerical control tool holder is measured by the repetitive location errors and Transposition one. Striking meter method is often used to measure the traditional error. The testing speed is low and it is difficult to locate the position. The accuracy of the tested result is low. In order to improve the working reliability, stability and efficiency of domestic numerical control lathe, it is necessary to develop a rapid, accurate error measuring system of numerical control cutter holder.The text mainly researches on rapid measurement method about the repeated and located error and translocating one of numerical control tool holder. Semiconductor laser is used for lighting source and silicon photocell is adopted for photodetector. The non-contacted measuring method is used to finish the error measurement which is based on numerical control tool holder controlled by single chip microcomputer. The optical system, the photoelectric detection, the power circuit, the measuring and amplifying circuit, the interface circuit of numerical control tool holder and single chip microcomputer are completed in the whole design. As the center of the whole system, single chip microcomputer is used to design the software, the hardware and the communication interface of PC and puts forwards to a method about enhancing resolution efficiency. Based on it, Visual C++ is used to compile program about computer-controlling, by which the functional module for data collection and data analysis is designed. In data collection, the function of string port, data collection and real-time displaying is set up. In data analysis, the function of data-call in, data-input, reliability analysis is designed. As the center of the whole system, computer-controlling software and upper computer exchange data by connection cable in long-distance. The software also can control in real time or analysis.The error-measuring system of numerical control cutter holder by which position repetitive error and translocating one can be measured can independently form a intelligent system and can be directly used in the work spot. It also can proceed to the data dealing with the computer-communication. It is an effective way of improving the quality of tool holder to find the weak link, propose improvement scheme and realize the increasing reliability.
