Study On The Development Of Agricultural Logistics In Henan Province

Modern agricultural logistics is logistics management activities that involve the system integration of many links in the process of circulation of agricultural resources, by applying information technology and supply chain management methods. Such links include transportation, storage, loading and unloading, handling, packaging, distribution processing, distribution, information processing etc. Henan Province is the national agricultural province and the core area of food production. Each year, large amount of agricultural production resources is consumed and the flow of agricultural resources is even larger, which requires matching flow channel to ensure the supply of agricultural materials. Therefore, the development of agricultural logistics is directly related to the efficiency and quality of economic operation in the whole province. However, the overall developing level of agricultural logistics in our province is still relatively low. Many unfavorable factors exist, such as scattered agricultural distribution channels, distribution inefficiencies and market disorder etc, which lead to the frequent occurrence of fake chemical fertilizers and pesticide in the market and greatly damage the benefits of farmers. Moreover, prices of agricultural materials are fluctuating greatly in recent years due to their coupling with global market, which increases the risk of agricultural business ventures. Therefore, the establishment of efficient and comprehensive agricultural logistics and distribution system is a prerequisite to ensure the increase of food production and agricultural sustainable development in our province. At the same time, in order to stabilize agricultural prices and promote agricultural development in Henan Province, it is necessary to improve agricultural reserve and establish reserve system of chemical fertilizers and pesticides etc. at the provincial level.In this thesis, agricultural fertilizer was selected as the object of study, and agricultural economic theory and theories of modern logistics were utilized to deeply analyze the status and problems of agricultural logistics in Henan province. The needs of agricultural logistics in Henan Province were analyzed and predicted. Then the basic ideas, development layout, development model and the main task in agricultural development in Henan province were established. The establishment of fertilizer logistics network of Wanzhuang Cooperation in Henan Province was further analyzed. Finally, rational proposal was suggested in the thesis to improve logistics system of agricultural materials, to construct agricultural information network platform and to promote agricultural chain stores. The proposal aims to promote the sound development of agricultural logistics in Henan province.From the industrial perspective, the thesis analyzed how to develop modern agricultural logistics of Henan Province and thus opened up new ideas to study the development of domestic agricultural logistics industry. The method of comparative analysis was utilized to compare the developmental models of current agricultural logistics. From those models, the model suitable for the development of agricultural logistics in Henan province was found out. By using empirical analysis, the establishment of agricultural logistics system by Wanzhuang Fertilizer Market Cooperation was analyzed.
