Facing the market competition,company must find the scientific method and research from all of the Product Life Cycle, reduce the cost of product, improve product competition. And value engineering is the science method that, develop from the research and design of product, devotion production, until stopped production eliminated in all processes, passed the analysis to the product function, correct the relationship with function and product cost to reduce the cost of product and improve product competition.This text is starting from the SG company actual situation, combine the request from the customer, the technique request, product value, and choosing basin faucet as the object of study in this paper. Take basin faucet the product characteristic, spare parts characteristic as basis, with value engineering of basic principle for the instruction thought, pass to FD method and FAST methods , research with the product composing, function of each spare parts and cost ,and determine the object of value engineering activities. And using the Brainstorming, from the improvement of the product structure or the function, make changes in original material and lower production manufacturing cost aspects to produce the innovative idea , analyze, evaluate and decision of plan.Lastly, using the method of project management, drive implementation, and evaluate synthetically of plan achievement from technique and economy aspects.As the project manager of the value engineering's activity, by guide all of the project team members, innovation the thought pierce through always, synthesize the technique method that the qualitative analysis combine together with quantitative analysis application, improve product function, reduce cost, improve the competitiveness of product, and build up the VE system, keep on to develop a VE activity to lay foundation for company.
