With the development of globalization, competition is rising among regions, nations and companies since the beginning of this countries. Competition in the 21st century mainly lies in the area of technological power and resources. Many foreign companies have put lots of low tech product production in some developing countries, which are abundant with cheap manual labor cost, less market demand and rich natural resources. In the fierce market, Xuzhou Construction Machinery Group have to improve its level of competitiveness of their products with sufficient knowledge in order to obtain the survival and sustainable development.This thesis begins with the introduction of the theory of competitiveness of enterprises, and a concise literature review on the development of competitiveness theory of evolution follows with a brief description the theory of competitiveness on enterprises. Then, the thesis focuses on the theory of Porter value chain and core competitive theory. Facing the enterprise environment (macro, industry, market, etc.), the thesis first identify the development of Xuzhou Construction Machinery Group; and then, and it also analyses the existing capacities and threats the group is facing. Secondly, with the adoption of scientific evaluation of the competitiveness of companies, the thesis make a clear analysis of some toughest competitors which Xuzhou Machinery Group is facing, such as Sany Heavy Industry, Zoomlion and other enterprises. With the comparison analysis, the thesis displays some advantages and disadvantages of Xuzhou Machinery Group, which are unique to other competitors. Finally, the thesis puts forward some useful methods and means in order to improve the competitiveness of the group.
