The core competitiveness of enterprises is an important foundation for sustainable development. Tourism core competitiveness of enterprises is important not only to their own long-term development problems, or to promote and protect regional tourism development. Since the beginning of this century tourism enterprises have made a great contribution to the rapid development of tourism in Xiangxi. To enhance the core competitiveness of tourism enterprises, is not only conducive to recognize their own business for improving response to fierce market competition, but also helpful to improve the overall strength of Xiangxi regional tourism for promoting statewide tourism forward.Xiangxi is very rich in tourism resources, and tourism enterprise development has inherent advantages. After years of continuous exploration and accumulation, Xiangxi tourism enterprises have achieved a great leap in terms of quantity and quality. In this paper, under the guidance of the enterprise’s core competitiveness and competitive advantage theory, some qualitative and quantitative analysis were made for core competitiveness of tourism enterprises in Xiangxi. First, the current development of tourism companies was analyzed. On this basis, on the base of some indexes of existing core competitiveness evaluation the paper build 18 secondary indicators from product competitiveness, market competitiveness and management competence to evaluate competitiveness of tourism enterprises.Through questionnaires data four core elements of competitiveness of tourism enterprises were obtained from 18 evaluation indicators using factor analysis.They were named the ability of resource integration, the ability of building market image, the ability of building brand and product costs, and other indicators were classified as continued competitiveness, potential competitiveness and dynamic competitiveness. Later combined with the actual situation of tourism enterprises, the four core elements of competitiveness were further analyzed. Finally, according to the analysis results, a series of countermeasure were put forward to enhance the core competitiveness of tourism enterprises respectively from the four areas of enhancing tourism enterprise resource integration abilities, enhancing the tourism enterprises’ market image building abilities, enhancing tourism brand building abilities and enhancing tourism enterprise product cost advantages...
