With the improvement of people's standards of living, honeymoon travel is becoming a vogue. The current academic papers about honeymoon trip are rarely found. Studies on honeymoon trip with travel agencies haven't seen yet. It is lack of guide theories when travel agencies want to develop the product of honeymoon travel. The system research of honeymoon tourism would not only give travel agents some guide theories, but also effectively guide travel demands and promote development of other tourism products. Therefore, it is necessary to study honeymoon trip systematically.Based on the theoretics of travel agency products, this paper use many theories to support such as psychology knowledge, marketing theory, tourism safety study, consumer behavior knowledge, products design for travel agencies and so on. Combined with the situation of domestic and international honeymoon tourism,this paper points out the psychological needs of honeymooners and features of honeymoon travel.Using SWOT analysis, it analyses strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threat of travel agencies's status on development of honeymoon product. The paper suggests some strategies for the development of honeymoon product after the analysis of design principles and attention points.Based on the spot check of the honeymooners's demand, the paper uses descriptive analysis to analyze demographic characteristics, travel plans, travel preferences of 20~35 year-old adults of Changsha and points out the keystone to develop the honeymoon product.The result of research shows that the honeymoon travel demand is rising. For travel agents, it is both opportunities and challenges. To get more profits, travel agents should design fitable honeymoon routes and recognize the importance of marketing, reinforce services during each stage of saling.
