Youth furniture is one of the major groups of consumers.As a result of psych ological,educational level, income level,living environment,life style,personality characteristicsand otherfactors,young people have special furniture consumer de mand.Furniture design,therefore our design should also be psychological factors such as consumption into account.This assay expounds the orientation of pro duct-design location of the youth furniture from the young's consumer psychol ogy.This assay employs questionnaire survey method, which elaborates some aspects of furniture purchase and using psychology, attitude towards furniture, personal basic property, and people's attention degree on furniture's basic property. Starting with our country's furniture consumer psychology, the assay studies social factors of the youth's furniture purchasing requirement, purchasing motives, purchasing consciousness and consumer demand. Therefore, we can build our country's youth's furniture purchasing pattern and summarize modern young people's characters on consumer psychology which include the pursue of fashion and new and uniqueness, the infatuation with the products of high technology and intelligence, the emphasize on emotion and intuition, strong self-awareness and seek to fashionable ways of consuming.It extracts three terms from furniture design's many essentialfactors which are the most effective to the youth furniture:the shape,the color,the function,and analyzes their design principle and method one by one. Explain theformation principle to the modeling,such as unity and changes, symmetry and balance, proportion and scale, rhythm and rhythm, simulation and Biomimetic;analyzes the youth furniture's functional request,pointed out that youth furniture design should take into account the young home buyers and housing needs of the small size, novelty and change, the pursuit of novel fashion, obsessed with high-tech intelligent products, and propose solutions, such as suitable for small space furniture, multi-functional furniture, furniture intelligent design; through the market survey,the author considers the visual characteristic, the psychologic effect of each kind of color and the aesthetic principles of color design,summarizes the youth furniture commonly used color.The author analyzed of the current youth furniture market, the three young people more successful furniture business such as "IEKA", "Catking" and "Qumei", and tried to sum up the above, summed up the success of their common experience in the furniture is one of the correct phase of product development and effective positioning of furniture, product design.
