The Research On Control Method And Application In The Inventory Of Furniture Manufacturing Enterprises

Inventory occupied a lot of liquidity of the enterprise, reduced the turnover of funds, and increased the total cost of the enterprise; therefore, inventory problem has become the survival and development bottlenecks of modern furniture manufacturing enterprises in China. How to enhance inventory control, lower production costs, and improve the competitiveness of enterprises are the problems pressing for solution of furniture manufacturing enterprises.The thesis, according to the use of field investigation, collection of a large number of credible data, and statistical analysis of the data, tries to explore the root of the inventory problem of China's furniture manufacturer's enterprises. Using quantitative analysis method to analysis and research raw materials inventory, work in process inventory and finished goods inventory, and using case study method for the case H Furniture Co., Ltd., from a practical point of view, the thesis tries to propose the solutions of the inventory control problem of furniture manufacturing enterprises and search for the optimization of the overall inventory.The thesis has done a specific study in following four areas:First of all, the thesis tries to use different control methods for different types of raw materials of the furniture manufacturing enterprises, namely, using of material requirements planning (MRP) to control the procurement of the relevant demands type of raw material; using of Economic Order Quantity law (EOQ) to control the procurement of the independent demands type of raw materials. And the thesis tries to use the ABC analysis method to control in classification of raw materials inventory in order to reduce the workload of Materials ManagementSecondly, for bottlenecks in the product inventory, by combining Just-In-Time methods (JIT) with Theory of Constraints (TOC), the thesis discovers and solves a variety of production bottlenecks continuously, in the process of timely and appropriate production, achieving the Material Flow Balance effect in the production, and tries to use the 5S management method to manage the workshop effectively.Then, for the seasonal fluctuations of the market demand for furniture products, the thesis tries to use the time series decomposition method for forecasting of the product demand to improve forecasting accuracy, and combined with customer service level, set reasonable safety inventory of finished products.Finally, according to the organic integration of the above-mentioned control method, the thesis tries to build a complete the control system of the furniture manufacturing enterprise's inventory.
