| With the end of WTO protection, the developing logistics industry in China has entered a period of full liberalization era. Foreign logistics enterprises will be into China's logistics market by large-scale; as a result, China's logistics industry is facing both development opportunities and competition pressure. However, because of the late start of China's logistics statistics, logistics statistics index and practice far behind the development of social economy and the lack of relative statistics materials, it is difficult to detect the problems within the development of logistics and make a plan for the further development of logistics from the quantitative point of view. Existing statistical index system is not perfect, unable to fully measure the quality of the operation of the logistics industry and can not reflect the meaning of logistics activities in depth. Because it is not involved the advanced logistics connotations such as supply chain, information technology and green logistics, logistics statistics system loses the guide function on the development direction of macro logistics and service level of micro logistics companies. Without the support of scientific and reasonable statistic data, it is difficult to guide China's logistics industry to the direction of standardization, specialization, socialization and common. Consequently, if we don't emphasize on logistics statistics, the lag of statistics will be a serious impediment in the process of logistics development. Therefore, modern logistics statistics science is a field deserving to be deeply explored and how to establish a scientific and sound index system is a key issue to be resolved first. With a comparative approach, this paper made a comparative study of international and domestic literatures which are related to logistics statistics indicators. Learning from the advantages of international literature and analyzing the disadvantages of domestic literature, this paper expanded the existing statistical index system of modern logistics from macro and micro levels and established a comprehensive and reasonable statistical index system which is fit for the development of China's modern logistics industry. This paper consists of six parts. The first part is the introduction of this paper, making an analysis of the theoretical and practical significance for the topic, describing the content and framework of this study, and revealing the method and innovation of this paper. The second part is literature review, reviewing a large number of international and domestic literatures related to logistics statistical indicators, focusing on the research angle of international and domestic literatures and exploring the different design ideas between them. The third part gives a detailed description on the weakness of existing logistics statistical indicator system. The fourth part is the core part of this paper, with the guide of system theory, supply chain management and sustainable development, making an expansion of the existing logistics statistical indicator system from the following aspects:social logistics sustainment, logistics and economy relevancy, level of logistics information, logistics supply chain management and order processing ability. The fifth part is about the solution of collecting statistical index data. The sixth part is the conclusion, summarizing the main conclusion of this paper and the research prospects. |
