Knowledge is one of the key resources in enterprise competition; knowledge management is becoming an important part of enterprise management. Knowledge search is one part of knowledge management process and becomes the essential foundation of many organizations to construct competitive advantage. With the development of relative theory, although more and more experts and practitioners put focus on inter-organizational knowledge search of departments, internal knowledge search within an enterprise plays an important role recently. Social capital means the resources embeded in firm network resources, and various scholars it is a good point for theory explore and development for enterprise knowlegement. Many scholars and practitioners have made big progress on the connection between social capital and knowledge management which makes the realtive research much more meaningful. The members and departments in an enterprise will form a trustworthy network and by which they can search and get the knowledge and infromation they need. They will try every effort to break the limit among the departments and create an atmosphere to make the knowledge search and exchange to reality. Therefore, this study will make out the relationship between the internal social capital and knowledge search of departments within an enterprise.This study takes some high-tech enterprises of Dalian as sample and takes empirical research methods to analyze the influenees of intemal social capital on knowledge search of departments within an enterprise. On the basis of the study of the relationship of the three dimensions (structrual dimension, relational dimension and cognitive dimention) of internal social capital, the study has a further resarch on the influenees of intemal social capital on knowledge search of departments within an enterprise. There are some significant conclusions which are the academic support for the enterprises to manage internal social capital and knowledge search.The main conclusions are as follows:1. The relationship of the three dimensions (structrual dimension, relational dimension and cognitive dimention) of internal social capital.2. The influenees of intemal social capital on knowledge search of departments within an enterprise.
