Study On Modern Service Industry Competitiveness Of Shenyang

With the development of modern services Industry, it has been playing a more and more important role in the economic system of a country or region, and progressively becoming the backbone of economy. The experience of international economic development shows that the development extent of the modern service industry is a very important measure both for the economic and the social modernization of a region. Shenyang is the biggest economic central city in Northeast Region of China. But there still exists a large gap with other major cities, such as shanghai and Shenzhen.To improve the competitiveness and accelerate development of the modern service industry of Shenyang, We should reach common understandings and refine policies on it.This paper first reviews the theories of modem service industry. Secondly, on the basis of management, economics, statistics and basic theories of modem service industry, the competitiveness index system of modem service industry, choose modem service industry development level, construction, efficiency and development potentiality as the second index, then confirm 15 tertiary indexes. This paper also evaluates the competitiveness of the modern service industry in 17 major regions according to the established Index System. On the basis of above analysis, the modern service industry competitiveness rank of Shenyang is determined, and the gap between Shenyang and other major cities is quantified. At last, the paper analyzes comparative advantages and obstructive factors of the modern service industry of Shenyang, and puts forward countermeasures.
