China Construction Contract Management And Claim Application Research

With the tremendous development in construction industry, China has become the third largest construction market in the world. However, rapid development also accompanies with some problems. Insufficient knowledge that Chinese construction enterprises possess on contract and claim management, the relatively low level of project contract and claim management, together with deficient laws and regulations which hamper the development of the constrution enterprises in China.The research for status quo of contract and claim management both at home and abroad is analyzed in this paper. Furthermore, applying the practical project cases, the contract and claim management is studied in-depth. It is proposed that by promoting the awareness of the contract management, establishing and improving the management system and process, implementing project guarantee and insurance actively, establishing contract dispute resolution institutions and conducting claim work reasonably, the construction enterprises should enhance their awareness of contract and claim management to promote the healthy and sustainable development of themselves. What' more, through a variety of methods, the standard of construction contract and claim managent is enhanced to provide a favorable environment for Chinese project mangement to access to the international market and keep its pace with the international standard.
