Research On Influence Mechanism Of IPR On The Firm's Technological Innovation

The paper first describes the background and the significance of the study topics.Then,it sums up the previous study about the impacts of IPR on technology innovation inputs,the impacts of IPR on FDI and the impacts of FDI on technology innovation outputs at home and abroad in the frame of closed economy and open economy respectively. The second chapter in the paper inquires into function mechanism of IPR on technology innovation. Proceed from the two paths of technology innovation inputs and technology innovation outputs;this paper discusses the direct and indirect impacts of IPR on technology innovation in detail.The third chapter in the paper develops a model based on the "Cost Saving" innovation Model to analyze the impacts of IPR on technology innovation in the condition of existing FDI.The results show that the effects of the impact of IPR on technology innovation depends on domestic cost advantage, imitation innovation effects and capacities of domestic companies, the spillover level of FDI and the technology gap.The forth chapter in the paper has empirical tests in different times and different regions using the panel data in China. The conclusions are as follows:In the different paths of IPR influencing technology innovation inputs and technology innovation outputs, the effects are different. In the whole country, IPR has positive effects directly on technology innovation inputs and technology innovation outputs. Meanwhile, there is a negative effect of IPR on technology innovation inputs and technology innovation outputs indirectly. The negative effects are larger than the positive effects.From the regional comparison, strengthening IPR has more negative effects on east regions than on middle and west regions.The last chapter in the paper has a conclusion of the whole study, and gives advises for developing IPR policy in China.
