IT Project Risk Management Research And Practice

Nowadays IT industry is gradually extended. But there are some problems in those IT companies no matter the big or small ones at the same time, such as deferred projects, high cost, low quality and so on. Almost every company manager is puzzled by these problems, from which we can discover these problems without exception are related to IT project management. So How to manage IT project becomes an important research subject. In project management, risk management especially affects the success or failure of the project. But there are many problems in the small company when it carries out the risk management. The same problem happens in the writer's company. The problems include these aspects as below:"The project risks can not be exactly identified because of the lack of the project manager's capability", "The risk tracking is not developed well", "Project players and the customers don't attend the risk management", "The solutions of preventing risks are not carried out well", "The project team is lack of the awareness of the risk management", "The project management used to give attention to the risk which is already change into problem", In view of existing problems, this paper studies the solutions.This paper includes following content mainly:the theory of risk management and the technology of risk management. It analysis the situation of risk management of XX company, find and summarize the problems of risk management in this company. In view of existing problems this paper gives solutions and studies the improved method. It also describes the effect and result after the improved method is carried out in real software projects.According to the problem of a company's risk management, the thesis gives some advice to the risk management at present, the betterments advice:(1) Combine CRM continuance risk management model and CMMI risk management project bring forward a new method,named by co-risk management:be grounded in CRM continuance risk management model, put the keys of CMMI risk management project risk database into risk management, make item, organization and resource together comes true. (2) With company's actually conditions, human resource management, elect a manager to build a fictitious risk management team, consider the resources, cost, time and so on restrictions. Adopt screening high-priority risk management ideas, pay more attention to interior high-priority risk, carry through the ideas of "the leader be the first, from top to bottom, the staff attend". Make sure that can be executed. (3) To achieve a full range of risk management, and make the customer participate in, protect from the organization to customer participate, make the all-aroundcooperative-type risk management into reality.
