With a big explosion of knowledge, a diminishing margin, a global-scale competition, rapid paced technology innovation, and a short business cycle, Economy has ever based on knowledge like today. Knowledge management, appear to be a particularly important factor or may become the key factor of the fierce competition..Thus, this thesis is mainly focusing on the research of the tacit knowledge absorption in an organization, based on a postmodern point of view. With a deep research in grounded theory we mean to know the main influence factors in the process and make sure the roles the participants played.There are three motives in this research; one, although there are plenty of researches on tacit knowledge, most of them just focused on theory study, or pay more attention to the flow of the tacit knowledge in the organization, lacking of deep researches on taking the tacit knowledge absorption as a separated process, so we can't have a clear understanding of the flow of the tacit knowledge in the organization. Two, most of the study on the tacit knowledge is just based on a perspective of the modern management theory. With the development of society and the continuous improvement of the management theory, the staff's personal demand as a Single people came out. This problem can not be solved by the modern management theory, but the postmodern management theory which focus on personal choices and characteristics could do this. Three, by far most previous researches have taken Empirical studies as their method, they pay more attention to the universality, but ignoring the different situations, the reliability of data is also controversial. Grounded theory can do better and make up to these weaknesses, using Site visits to ensure the reliability of the information, and based on the applicability to the situations.This dissertation, based on the above mentioned, the author went to Yantai Ju Ding industrial company for a research and achieved comparatively exhaustive materials through in-depth interviews with the enterprise employees, hoping that we will get a whole process of the tacit knowledge absorption in the organization and give a beneficial supplement to the existing study.We have organized this dissertation into four chapters.Part One-Introduction. State and define the problem this thesis is trying to address. Describe the researching background and practical implications. List out the possible innovations appeared in the research. And set frame for the research.Part Two-Literature Review. Define the keywords in the research. Review and critic previous works on theories of tacit knowledge management, Postmodern management theory.Part Three-Grounded theory Study----take Yantai Ju Ding industrial company as a sample. Introduce the general background of the firm. This dissertation used Grounded Theory in qualitative research after interview, go deep research of the tacit knowledge absorption in the organization based on a perspective of the Postmodern management theory.Five conclusions after the research:Conclusion one, the tacit knowledge absorption in the organization is a process for the employees to structure their tacit knowledge.Conclusion two, the tacit knowledge absorption in the organization is achieved by imitation innovation and improvement.Conclusion three, the power of the employees who absorb the tacit knowledge is getting self-development and realizing their own persuits.Conclusion four, the result is that the employees who absorb the tacit knowledge have a better development.Conclusion five, the tacit knowledge absorption in the organization as well as the development of the employees and the company is the same process.Part Four-Results from the Research. Drew a conclusion of this dissertation, gave advice, illuminated the progress and limitation.
