As our country's market economy, is developing and the Internet users are increasing yearly, the online-game industry of china has got a great growth,this paper is about to analyzed market structure,enterprise efficiency and the market performance of the online-game industry of our country by industrial organization theoryThe scholar always research industrial organization theory focusing on the market performance, and they usually analyzed the relationship between structure and performance, and find the element which affect the performance. The two most significant hypotheses in industrial organization theory are the Market Power Hypothesis of the Harvard School and the Efficient Structure Hypothesis of the Chicago School. This thesis will put the efficiency variable into the research of the relationship between market structure and performance, and conducts an empirical research on the two hypotheses in China's online-game industry.Firstly, this paper review the interrelated research, and then analysis china's market structure through market concentration ratio,product discrepancy and the market barrier. The fourth chapter takes measurements and calculates on the enterprise efficiency. The fifth chapter establishes equations using the empirical research of Berger Harman (1995), especially analyzing the Market Power Hypothesis and the Efficient Structure Hypothesis using statistic tool to validate China's online-game industry.The main conclusions are:(1) China's online game industry is oligopolistic market, in higher concentration, but product differentiation is relatively small, barriers to entry and exit barriers are high.(2) China's online game business is relatively low pure technical efficiency, scale efficiency is relatively high, the average efficiency of integrated technology is growing year by year, the other online game companies in Shanghai Comprehensive technical efficiency was higher than Beijing's online game enterprises comprehensive technological efficiency.(3) Performance of China's online game industry is the major source market efficiency, market power hypothesis refused to support the efficient structure hypothesis. (4) Cultural industry growth on China's online game industry, there were significant negative impact, while the sales revenue growth of online game industry had no significant impact.Through this study can be found only by improving the efficiency of China's online game business in order to improve market performance, and truly enhance our overall competitiveness of the online game.
