Research On The Development Of Feed Enterprise Of Hebei Province

Hebei province is a big province of animal husbandry, whether output of livestock product or Amount of livestock on hand quantity ranks forefront in the country. At the same time, Hebei is also a major province of grain production while the total yield of feed production was relatively low. Measured by the amount of breeding livestock and poultry of the province, Hebei needs 40 million tons of feed per year, while the feed production of the province is only 10 million tons. Feed enterprise from other provinces account for more than 70 percent of feed market share. It has great significance to make great efforts to cultivate feed production enterprise taking advantage of sufficient food production, develop feed industry system which integrates with planting, breeding, animal products processing, storage and transportation, wholesale and retail industry, promote the innovation of vertical and horizontal industries, advance livestock industry bigger and stronger, maintain the sustained and sound development of livestock feed enterprise, promote re-employment and income growth of farmers.On the basis of the latest research results of the development of the domestic and international feed enterprise, this paper gave refined definitions about related concepts and suggestd the analytical framework of economic development for the feed enterprise.This paper analyzed the present situation feed enterprise in Hebei Province, carried out a wide range of representative surveys and field interviewes of typical business based on relevant statistics of the province and the country. The competitiveness of feed enterprise, operating conditions, production, processing, marketing, quality and safety, etc.were investigated .This paper sufficiently analyzed problems and shortcomings of the feed enterprise in Hebei Province from the aspects as: capital, management, technology, and talents.From Michael Porter's Five Forces Model perspectives, this paper made some empirical analysis of the factors that influenced the development of the feed enterprise such as vertical and horizontal structure of feed enterprise, internal factors of feed enterprise and products as well as external factors of feed enterprise. With the help of the regress-ion analysis model, it analyzed the factors which influenced the development of feed enterprise, and showed : first, the level of large-scale, scientific and technological content of products and the development trend of animal husbandry are significant factors that influenced the development of the feed enterprise in Hebei Province,that is,the low level of large-scale, low scientific and technological contents of products and not sound development trend of animal husbandry are main limiting factors of feed enterprise. Second, talent resources, standardization of animal husbandry, the level of scale, credit by regulatory, taxes, preferential policies on land, tax and regulatory system of the feed industry by the government management system and philosophy of feed enterprise,marketing models and strategy,and major incidents of quality and safety had effect on the development of feed enterprise, that is lack of personnel support,low standardized, large-scale of aquaculture,lack of support about financial credit,taxes and preferential policies on land,faulty government regulatory mechanisms,unscientific enterprise management system and philosophy,unscientific marketing models and strategy,and appearance of major incidents of quality and safety are major limiting factors of feed enterprise of Hebei province. Finally, the paper proposed countermeasures to promote the development of the feed industry from feed enterprise and government regulation respectively.
