| Economic growth is one of the government fundamental objectives of macroeconomic policies, and fiscal expenditure is not only the basis of maintaining government functions, but also the primary tool of supporting government to work with money. Therefore, it has greatly theoretical and practical significance to research economic growth of our country from the perspective of fiscal expenditure. With the regard of the fiscal expenditure structure, fiscal expenditure includes many items, and different expenditure items have different economical effects. The reasonable financial expenditure structure can maximize the functions of fiscal expenditure in order to promote economic growth.With the economic transformation from the planned economy to the market economy in china, there are great changes in government functions, corresponding to the fiscal expenditure structure adjusted. So, we need correctly define the scope of fiscal expenditure, optimize fiscal expenditure structure and improve the fiscal expenditure efficiency. However, there are many problems in China's fiscal expenditure structure, For instance, fiscal expenditure management is not perfect, the fiscal expenditure loses its balance among the districts. All these affect the fiscal function, and have a great impact on the economic growth.Based on previous research, this paper mainly studies the relationships between fiscal expenditure and economic growth from both theoretical and empirical analysis. The theoretical analysis shows that the fiscal expenditure structure can affect the economic growth, but the influence degree is related to the output elasticity of various fiscal expenditure on national revenue. The empirical analysis is based on statistical data from 1978 to 2009. Through Eviews5.0, I can calculate correlation coefficient and get the extent of the fiscal expenditure on economic growth, and make beneficial exploration in order to further optimize fiscal expenditure structure. |
