Tourism propaganda material is one of the most important means of promoting. It can motivate potential tourists directly and quickly, and it's position cannot be ignored in the government and. However, the relevant research in both fields is limited due to the specialty of tourism and advertising industry, which lead to the government and enterprises invest a lot of money each year to promote tourism propaganda materials, but there's no way to know the promoting effect.This paper proposed the theoretical evidence to assess the promoting effect of the tourism propaganda materials, which is based on the tourism and advertising subject, combined with the tourism propaganda materials'characteristics. Meanwhile, according to the different functions and vector of the Yuntai Mountain's tourism propaganda materials, the writer made a classification and analysis of the amount, the promoting channel and the content. Based on that, the writer made a questionnaire survey on the promoting effect including economic effects, psychological and social effects. Through the data, the writer evaluate the propaganda material effect, and point out the problems of the tourism propaganda materials of Yuntai mountain and put forward the relevant improvements.
